Net Price Calculator
We’re excited to announce our partnership with Meadow to offer a new Net Price Calculator (人大). This NPC was designed to give you a more accurate and personalized estimate of the cost of attending the University of New Hampshire.
Comparing costs
As your aid packages start coming in, you’ll see that your financial aid eligibility will vary from school to school. Review your aid awards carefully. Sometimes, what appears to be the biggest aid package isn’t the best.
This simple, printable chart can help you organize your aid information and compare costs.
Knowing the following terms may help:
Cost of attendance
Schools may list this figure on your award letter or their website. Cost of attendance includes an estimate of tuition and fees, room and board, 书, supplies, transportation and miscellaneous expenses.
Grants/scholarships
Grant and scholarship aid does not need to be paid back, so can be subtracted from the cost of attendance.
Net price
This is the cost of attendance minus your grant and scholarship aid.
Student loans
Only include loans that are offered in your aid package. If you are planning on borrowing, subtract the student loans from the net price to determine your net cost.
Work study
While you may be eligible for a work study award, they are typically used for miscellaneous expenses as students receive paychecks for their hours worked.
Parent loans
Some schools will add a PLUS/Parent Loan to your financial aid package. These are credit-based loans a parent will need to borrow in their name – they are not aid awarded by the college.
